I have a 2014 Flex SEL without Ecoboost and without trailer tow package. I would very much like to buy and pull a 2/3 person recreational trailer but I am unclear on the standard towing capacity of the vehicle.

Can someone please help with this?

Wit the trailer towing package the Flex is rated as class 1, with a towing capacity of 2,000 lb. While you can add all the factory parts for the towing package you still are rated at 2000 lb since you won't have the anti sway control which comes on the factory ordered towing package.
