Dual climate control

when the AC is on the drivers side blows HOT, the passenger side blows cold. When the heat is on the drivers side blows hot, the passenger side blows cold. What should I be looking at first?

There are multiple 'blend door actuators' behind the dash that go bad. One is easy to change, the others are not. I just paid $290 to have mine fixed.
