I own a 2011 Flex SEL and love it. I just recently had mine in and found out that the front end including the steering rack needs replaced. I only have 75,000 km (45,000 miles) on it. It needs tie rods, ball joints, knucklers etc.  I'm concerned that it would happen with such low mileage. There was no noticeable difference in the handling. No noises, or even tire wear. Anyone else had these issues?

Welcome to the Forum!

Sorry to hear of your problems.

There are reports about similar issues in the harsher climates where the cold makes rougher roads and salt is used, as in Canada.

Having said that, if you're not feeling any driving feedback you may want to seek another opinion, sometimes shops can 'over estimate' the real problems.

It was the dealer that found the problems. Thing is I have the FMPP so they service it every 4800 miles. I don't know it all happened in the last 2400 miles.  It was a harsh winter here. The roads were ice covered for weeks six to eight inches thick.  I'm hoping that was the cause of the problems. I really want the truck to outlast the payment.

An independent opinion is still a good thing to get.  ;)
