GrySql,

If your Ford dealer is South Bay Ford in Hawthorne, CA, they must have made a mistake. According to Ford's dealer inventory that VIN hasn't been shipped to the dealer. My dealer can't find a single 2015 Flex that has been shipped past Flat Rock. They show up as dealer ordered or have a status of InTransit. But at this point, Who knows.

A quick look on Autotrader shows 440 Flexs in dealer inventories in the US as of this afternoon.

The picture of the one I mentioned was taken in their parking lot, it's there.

Hello,

I just got a call from my dealer and with actually good news!!  They stated that my Ford Flex is in Ogden, UT and will be here even sooner than expected.  They told me 7/2/15 originally, now they are telling me it will be here by 6/21/15 or the latest by 7/1/15.  So i was very surprised especially since a lot of folks are posting all of their delays.  Just wanted to let yall know!!

UPDATE:  Please see my post at http://www.fordflex....php?f=3&t=14262 --  Short summary:

I got list of every stop the train(s) made with the rail car holding my FLEX from CNR. It matched up perfectly with the Vehicle Tracking list I got from my dealer.

The rail car with my FLEX left Oakville on May 19 and arrived in Flat Rock, 12 miles from my dealer, the next day, May 20th. Now, here's the shocker: someone in the rail yard screwed up badly and didn't unload my vehicle! It was logged in at every stop (get your map out or look here: https://www.cn.ca/en... ... motive-map) from Flat Rock, thru Battle Creek, MI; Markham, IL, Fond du Lac, WI; Winnipeg, MB; Saskatoon, SK;  Edmonton, AB;  and back to Flat Rock!!!!! All on the SAME RAIL CAR!!!  That's 4,000 miles round trip!  [It was actually dropped off at the Michigan Assembly Plant 7 miles from my dealer!]

My FLEX is again about 9 miles from me right now and nobody better screw up again!!!!

What do they say? "Truth is stranger than fiction." I couldn't make this stuff up. icon_e_biggrin.gif

The Flex sure gets low priority on build dates, Donlen is showing 16-18 weeks lead time if you order one right now.
That means if you ordered today you won't get your car until October, if you're lucky.   Easier to find one on a Dealer's lot somewhere.

Donlen.com

Production is still listed as TBD for the 2016 Edge US version. They only started production of the 2015 Edge on 01/19/15.

Edit: However, the Canadian 2016 Edge is scheduled for production on 10/19/15.

Hey Wes12. Way to go.

I'll bet my Flex was on the same rail car. That would explain why Ford can't tell me when it will arrive. Also, GrySql says that Ford has multiple computer systems and they can't talk to each other. What a Cluster.........They didn't know where it was. All they could tell me was that it was on Miscellaneous Transit Delay.  My dealer's Ford Factory Rep had no information. Maybe I'll get it by Labor Day !

I read on another Forum that it is common for Ford to build a low volume car like the Flex but missing some parts, then ship it to Flat Rock and store it until the new parts arrive. When parts become available they are installed and the train delivery is restarted when the car is complete.
This story has quite a lot of logic and merit in it as Flat Rock is sort of the 'fix-it' assembly plant for a lot of Ford models.
It's not a proven fact but an interesting thought.

BTW, my Dealer got three more Dealer ordered 2015's and they are sold already.

I live 30 minutes from Flat Rock. I ordered my Flex in January. I still do not have a delivery date and have not heard from anyone at Ford in over 3 weeks. The last conversation I had with my salesperson -he was at Corporate trying to get answers. He even tried to go to Flat Rock to pick up my vehicle. This is beyond frustrating. My neighbor is a Subaru salesperson and has found 3 Outbacks with similar trim to my ordered flex, less expensive, better gas mileage- I'm so tempted.

Hey Griffisa14,

Did you get your Flex?

If you did, it makes me optimistic that mine might get here someday.

Today is day 146 since I ordered mine.

Yes duane picked it up yesterday at the dealer. Also picked up the ford flex all weather mats for all 3 rows and the cargo area when the third row is folded! Have a big stroller to fit and do not want to tear it up! Lol!
