Anyone dumb enough to do this? Just purchased my 2013 Limited and after having a celebratory dinner with the wife at a fancy restaurant, we stopped at a service station for her to use the restroom.  Since I was just waiting around, I decided to take a look at the engine. It looked very serious and so as she was getting in the Flex, I dropped the hood, but it did not shut completely so I pushed down and felt the metal on the front edge of the hood give slightly under my palm. Yes it left a slight dent there and made me pretty sick.  Is there a procedure to shut these hoods that is different from any other car or truck that I have owned? I have never dented a hood by simply shutting it. We love the Flex but, It has to be the thinnest metal to dent so easily.  Is there any cheap way to get this dent out?

Thanks, Im only about halfway through that manual...so much to remember will all the technology involved.  I did drop it  but since it did not latch, I simply pushed it down with my hand...obviously too hard!

Ours actually had one in that location when it was new sitting on the lot, but the service department had it removed before we took delivery, so there is hope.

I see this same dent on the hood of just about any Flex I run across.  Anyone else?

I bought mine used, a one owner lease-back and it doesn't have that dent, thankfully.  Now you've got me looking at other Flexes for it!  LOL!
