2010 Ford Flex SEL approx 70k miles.

So last Tuesday night, out of nowhere, my radio started randomly changing stations on it's own, switching back and forth from am/fm to satellite. In addition, the temperature controls were turning on and off on their own every 5-7 seconds.

I brought the vehicle in to the Ford dealership the following morning and of course they had never seen anything such as this.

After they removed the radio and temperature controls, rebooted the system, and I retrieved the vehicle, it appeared to be working correctly. However, when I press any buttons on the radio it freezes everything up (temperature and radio).

I can tell this is not a common occurrence, however, I would love some opinions about the best way to approach fixing this?

Do I suck it up and replaced the modules on both the radio and the temperature controls?

Just do the radio first to see if it fixes both problems (or vice versa - just the temperature module first)?

I am at a loss.

I don't want to uncessarily spend $1000 to get this fixed....

Any opinions are greatly appreciated!!

Thanks all!

Hi Meagan, Unfortunately it will not allow me to send a private message since I am a new member.

Is there another way to contact you?

I've seen someone else say they had to post five or so times before they could send a message.
