Disappointed in the poor placement of the back up camera.

With winter weather or any type of inclement weather the camera is useless. The lense becomes covered in dirt.

A better placement of the lense would have been up at the third brake light inside and where the rear wiper would remove dirt from obstructing the lense.

It begs the question do the car designers actually drive in real conditions, - apparently not.

Uhh, if you put a camera in the window, it will show you the same view that you see out the window. Only way around that would be to use an extreme fish-eye lens that would result in such a distorted picture that you couldn't use it to judge distances when parking.

Not true, my honda pilot cam was mounted under rear spoiler brake light and stayed cleaner longer and worked great. A good qualtiy camera doesnt fisheye and its pointed At down angle so you CAN see more than out window from Mirror.
