I recently purchased a 3 button garage door opener on ebay and was wondering if anyone on this forum has had any experience installing them in their Ford Flex? I am thinking of installing it on my drivers side sun visor (just like factory installation) but was wondering if there is some place else that might be easier. I enjoy doing stuff like this but I drive my wife crazy. Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Jack

A (1) 3 button opener

That is correct, a (1) 3 button opener. I've seen pictures of this being done on other vehicles but not on a Ford Flex. Just wondering if anyone has installed one of these units in a Flex?

I guess your SE did not come with the three button,
did yours come with a lighted vanity mirror on the drivers side.
If you do ,it's a simple swap.To a three button

Yes it did come with the lighted vanity mirror on the drivers side. I started to remove the visor on the drivers side but I couldn't find any connectors for the wiring so I stopped until I knew what I was doing. If you have any tips I would appreciate your help.

You will find a connection ,give the wire a little tug they use hot glue
to glue the connection to the headliner so it doesn't rattle
