I will be picking up my new Flex soon. Dealer wants to sell me Auto Armor protection for both the interior and exterior of my car. He wants to charge $599. He says it protects the finish and extends the warranty. I am leaning toward not doing it. I would love to hear peoples thoughts and also what do you use to protect your exterior and interior. I live in the Chicago area, very heavy salt usage.

is it the peel bumper protector or the wax. The wax is a money maker for the dealer. Extends what warranty? does it cover surface rust? if you point out a rust bubble in the body work, is it covered, have him show you where it says this in the warranty for Auto Armor.. work him down or decline. religiously washing and waxing, every 6 months professional (for your area mid Oct/early Nov) Then April/May after the last of the salt is washed from the roadway by good spring showers.
